E-bikes Enter a New Edition of the Quick Guide
The League’s handy small reference guide for bike safety, the Quick Guide, just got a little more robust. Newly added to the Quick guide are FOUR new pages specifically on electric-assist bikes, more commonly known as e-bikes. In just those four pages we cover a lot! Things like – situations when an e-bike excels, types of e-bikes, battery style, things to consider when just starting out and more. Just like an e-bike adds to your ride, the new Quick Guide with e-bikes gives you even more tips on bike riding safely.
The Quick Guide is a great handout at your next bike event. It also makes a great gift or stocking stuffer, bike club perk, bike shop merch, ride leader resource or local advocacy leave behind.
Any way you look at it, the Quick Guide is an informative, easy, quick, and convenient way to learn bike safety tips and while riding an e-bike for the first time requires learning some new skills, knowing how to safely and confidently ride on two wheels (or three) is all you ever need to get pedaling.
The League recognizes the value that e-bikes have in getting more people on bikes. More bike options mean more bike miles for more people. E-bikes can be the right solution for so many decisions – everyday transportation, hauling cargo, and of course, just to have fun. With transformational transportation incentives coming up for a vote in Congress soon — like the e-bike rebate and bike commuter benefits that will increase bike accessibility and ease of travel for families and individuals across America — we hope more people consider e-bikes and ride safely with our Quick Guide tips. Grab this new edition to help spread the word and learn more about bike safety. A big thanks to Lyft for their financial support in making this new edition of the Quick Guide happen.
