Youth Climate Action in Hawai’i: Navahine + Hawai’i DOT

October 1 @ 3:00 pm - 4:00 pm

Young people have a right to a future in which they can live safe, healthy lives. That’s the premise of Navahine v. Hawai’i DOT — a landmark case in which thirteen young people won a historic settlement from their state Department of Transportation to secure a livable future through climate action. Join the League along with youth plaintiff Charlotte M., attorney Joanna Zeigler, expert witness Michael Replogle, and Hawai’i Bicycling League’s Advocacy Director Eduardo Hernandez, to explore the case and discuss how we as advocates can transform our communities and protect our climate through active transportation like biking and walking.
