What It Means to be a Cycling Educator
August 6 @ 3:00 pm - 4:00 pm
Everyone deserves to have safe space, time, and trained guidance to practice and build confidence to go by bike. In pursuit of this vision, the League has trained and certified over 7,500 cycling educators over the past 50 years. You don’t have to be an extraordinary athlete or overachieving student to be a stellar cycling educator, all you need is the conviction that life is better for everyone when more people ride bikes. In this webinar, you’ll hear from three League Cycling Coaches on why it’s valuable to be a certified bike educator and why a community is better for everyone when more people are empowered to ride safely and confidently.
Speakers include:
- Diana Hildebrand, Bike Cleveland, League Cycling Coach
- Leta Highsmith New Haven Coalition for Active Transportation, League Cycling Coach
- Neil Walker, Cycles and Change, League Cycling Coach
- Alison Dewey, Education Director for the League of American Bicyclists
