BFU University: Bicycle Friendly University 101
June 4 @ 3:30 pm - 4:30 pm
The League of American Bicyclists’ Bicycle Friendly University (BFU) program provides the roadmap and technical assistance to create great campuses for cycling. Institutes of higher education that meet the standards set by the program earn recognition for their efforts to promote and provide a more bikeable campus for students, staff, and visitors.
During this “University” on the Bicycle Friendly University program, learn from two BFUs (Platinum-level Colorado State University in Fort Collins, CO, and Gold-level Dickinson College in Carlisle, PA) as well as industry experts to help you create your own Bicycle Friendly University. Insights from both large and small campuses on best practices, planning considerations, budgets, and other tips will be discussed in a panel-style format.

Amelia Neptune, Bicycle Friendly America Program Director, League of American Bicyclists
Erika Benti, Active Transportation Professional, Colorado State University
Lindsey Lyons, Assistant Director, Center for Sustainability, Dickinson College
