Webinar: Setting Speed Limits for Health and Safety
June 11 @ 3:00 pm - 4:00 pm
Twenty miles per hour (mph) speed limits are promoted for public health and safety because they help ensure that vehicle crashes are less common and more survivable when they occur. This webinar will look at state laws and city efforts that support slower speed limits and managing speed for safety. By highlighting laws that define city authority and how cities can use that authority this webinar provides a holistic picture of speed limit reform.
Speakers include:
Jenny O’Connell, NACTO’s Associate Director of Programs
Rozia Henson, Virginia State Delegate
Ken McLeod, Policy Director at the League of American Bicyclists
