Field Notes: How To Get a K-12 Cycling Program Started

September 10 @ 3:00 pm - 4:00 pm

Last month, the League was joined by cycling education experts from across the country for a practical discussion on how to get in-school cycling education for all students. This month, we’re back with another panel discussion about getting kids biking in schools, but this time we’re taking a deeper dive into how exactly these initiatives got started. Join us for “Field Notes: How To Get a K-12 Cycling Program Started” on September 10th at 3PM to hear how educators in Rhode Island, Kansas, DC, and Kentucky started their programs and get inspired to take action towards in-school education in your own community!

Speakers include:

  • Donny Green – Bicycle Education Program Director at Woonasquatucket River Watershed Council (RI)
  • Laura Fox – Director of Education, BikeWalk KC
  • Miriam Kenyon – PE Director, DC Public Schools
  • Natasha Smith – BikeWalkBG (Bowling Green, KY)
