Looking back at a great National Bike Summit

Bill NesperThe League has been your voice, your partner in building a bicycle-friendly America since 1880. We want everyone to experience the League’s unspoken promise: Bicycling can help you overturn your obstacles and achieve your dreams. Bicycling matters to you, to society and to the country.

Thanks to our members and supporters the 2017 National Bike Summit hosted last week in Washington, DC was a big success! The National Bike Summit is where we gather every year to share our stories, to listen, to learn and use our voices on Capitol Hill to make bicycling better for all.

We thank all of you who work daily in your neighborhoods, businesses, and communities to make bicycling safe, comfortable and convenient for all. Together we are leading the movement to build a Bicycle Friendly America for everyone. We can’t do this without your support! We look forward to continuing our work together in the Bicycle Friendly America certification programs, National Bike Challenge, Smart Cycling education program, and Active Transportation Leadership Institute. Thank you for your work, your voice, and your support.

Lobby Day was a great success!

Summit attendees met with 338 Congressional Offices — more than half of Congress.

If you were there, read more from Caron Whitaker (pictured below with Senator Ben Cardin) about how to follow up with the offices where you had meetings. And make sure to complete this survey
