Chris Vaughan

Bicycle Friendly America Program Coordinator, (he/him)

Chris Vaughan (he/him) joined the League in 2024. He supports operations and coordination within the Bicycle Friendly America program. He is a poet, educator, and sustainable transportation advocate who believes deeply in the power of connecting through our stories and creating human-centered, livable places. Chris graduated with a Bachelor’s in Comparative Studies in Race and Ethnicity from Stanford University, where he was also involved in campus labor organizing. He worked in education for 15 years, most recently as an elementary-school ESL/multilingual teacher and school administrator. His journey into transportation advocacy began while canvassing for improvements to a dangerous arterial in Minneapolis that he and his young children cross nearly every day. When not at the League, you can find Chris writing poems, engaging the community, and exploring the Twin Cities by foot, bicycle, and public transit with his family.
