Will Simpson
Roger Herz Memorial Federal Policy Fellow, (he/him)
Will joined the League in September 2025 as a Federal Policy Fellow. He supports the policy and communications teams on federal advocacy, bill tracking, and research. He is an avid gravel cyclist who believes in the ability of active transportation to make communities healthier and more sustainable. Will graduated from American University with a Master’s in Public Policy and from Trinity College with a major in Political Science. After two years working in the Connecticut state legislature, his advocacy journey began in graduate school, when it became apparent to him how many policy issues cycling can help address – from alleviating the ‘last mile’ problem in mass transportation to the potential of e-bikes in allowing individuals to commute greater distances by bike. When he’s not at the League, you can find Will venturing out on two wheels to check out new gravel trails or taking public transit around Washington, DC, exploring some of what the city has to offer.
