Alison Dewey

Alison leads the League’s Smart Cycling program and the annual National Bike Summit. She has held multiple positions with the League since joining the organization in 2008. Hired initially to create and launch the Bicycle Friendly Business program, she also managed the Bicycle Friendly University program for two years and helped establish the Bicycle Friendly State program. She was the Director of the National Bike Challenge in 2014. Before 2008, she worked for Massachusetts-based Landry’s Bicycles, where she spent two years managing a store and two years as Marketing Coordinator. She also served three years on the board of the Massachusetts Bicycle Coalition. Dewey has a MA in International Relations and Communications from Boston University and is a graduate of St. Olaf College. She spent three years as a Peace Corps volunteer in Senegal, where her bicycle was her primary mode of transportation. She enjoys riding with her family and commutes to work by bike.
