Letamarie Highsmith
Middlebury, CT
Upon retiring in 2010 from Specialized Packaging Group, Leta turned her time and talents to serving her community. She is a former board chair of Junta for Progressive Action; an organization that provides social services to the Latinx community in New Haven, CT. Currently, she volunteers as a coach for the Survivor Speak program as well as a presenter/speaker for the Safe Student Initiative of Jane Doe No More. She became an LCI prior to joining the New Haven Coalition for Active Transportation (NCAT) as a board member and instructor. As an LCI, she is able to share her love of cycling by teaching learn to ride, Smart Cycling and various cycling classes and topics to children and adults. So, becoming a League Cycling Coach was a natural next step. She has an undergraduate degree from the University of Connecticut and an MBA in International Business from the University of New Haven.
