The League recently held two webinars to prepare you for attending Bike Lobby Day on Capitol Hill on Wednesday, March 8.

What to know before you go: Process

Wednesday, February 15, at 8 pm Eastern

This is a basic webinar for first time Summit attendees or those who want to brush up on how to prepare for lobby meetings at the National Bike Summit.
Topics include:
  • What is the Summit Lobby Day?
  • What to expect
  • How to prepare
  • Q&A

What to know before you go: Policy

Wednesday, February 22, at 8 pm Eastern
This webinar is for everyone planning on lobbying at the National Bike Summit. We go over the specific “ask” for Congressional offices and the main talking points for your lobby visits. We also address attendee questions.
Here are a few reports referenced in the webinar:

Here’s the link to the report AASHTO requested on job creation, and a link to the America Bikes commissioned report by UMASS looking at job creation in  14 US cities. (tables in the back)
FINALLY- Amtrak is having an open House on March 8th from 8-12 for Summit participants to answer questions about bike facilities on trains, and to show off their train cars with bike facilities. If you register now (through the Summit Registration page  you will also get a free long sleeve shirt which says Amtrak loves bikes on the sleeve)
You have to register though because they need the names for security!
