National Bike Challenge Surpasses 10 Million Miles!
Challengers, we’ve done it! We have officially surpassed the 10 million mile mark in the 2013 National Bike Challenge.
Our current projections have us at just over 19 million miles by the end of the Challenge period (September 30). Our goal is to hit 20 million. So, where can we find that extra million miles, you ask?
Well, if all 32,903 registered riders (66 percent of our 50,000 rider goal) pedal just three more miles per week, we will tack nearly 1 million miles onto our total. And, the more riders we have, the better chance we have of hitting the 20 million “MILE-stone”! Don’t forget to get your friends, family and colleagues to sign up for the National Bike Challenge here.
Have you been documenting your Challenge experience with photos? We want to see them! The League is looking for National Bike Challenge participant photos for its upcoming edition of American Bicyclist magazine. Post your picture on the National Bike Challenge Facebook page, or tweet us @bikeleague!
