Bike Access for Tappan Zee Bridge

An essential part of our mission is working closely with state and local bike advocacy groups. The League and 18 other groups co-signed a letter to New York Governor Andrew Cuomo, requesting improved access to the Shared Use Path on the new Governor Mario M. Cuomo / Tappan Zee Bridge.

See the message from Bike Tarrytown below.

Dear Bike Tarrytown Friends:

The Thruway Authority is planning to make life difficult and unsafe for people using the “Shared Use Path” on the Governor Mario M. Cuomo Bridge. Unfortunately, the State’s plan is unsafe, and intends to close the path overnight.

19 local, state and national organizations (listed below) sent a coalition letter to the Governor detailing the problems and solutions. No reply has been received, so we’re taking the matter public.

It’s important for you to take a moment to add your voice to the chorus: https://biketarrytown.org/tappan-zee-bridge/action.php
