Apply to Become a League Board Member

You can bet your bottom bracket that the League staff is working hard every day to improve bicycling in communities nationwide. But it’s not just our 16-person team here in Washington., D.C. that’s focused on making biking better for you. Our efforts are also propelled by our dedicated board of directors who help to inform and guide our vision and strategy.

Currently, we have several opening for qualified bicyclists — and League members — who are interested in serving on the board. The applications for the 2014 election are due September 15, 2013

So what, you might ask, makes a great, qualified board member? We assess applicants on eight key standards:

Are you committed the League and meet those qualifications? We invite you to submit the following items by September 15 to be considered for the ballot.

  1. Statement of qualifications addressing the eight attributes above
  2. Resume
  3. 200-word profile and 300dpi picture for the League magazine
