Accepting Proposals: Pop-Up Shop 2015!

One annual feature of the National Forum on Women & Bicycling has been an opportunity to showcase women entrepreneurs in the bike industry. From makers with small Etsy shops to more established businesses, we enjoy providing an opportunity to connect women business leaders to leaders in women bike advocacy. With the Forum just around the corner, we are now ready to accept proposals from vendors!

Do you offer a unique product or service that aligns with our mission to change the face of bicycling by getting more women on bikes? Then we invite you to apply to our 2015 Women Bike Pop-Up Shop.

The Pop-Up shop will be located in the same conference space as the National Forum on Women and Bicycling being held at the Renaissance DC on March 10, 2015 in Washington, D.C. This event provides your business with an opportunity to connect to over 400 “bike-minded” attendees.

Cost to be a vendor and exhibit is $150, and includes registration for up to one employee to be able to attend any of the day’s events. Deadline to apply is Monday January 12, 2015. Apply here!

Will be begin notifying vendors of their acceptance as soon as January 15, 2015.

FAQ

Q: Can I ship any of my products in advance?

A: Unfortunately we do not have the capacity to provide storage or transport of your products to the event location. All product and displays will need to be installed the day of the event. You will have access to the space one hour prior to registration opening.

Q: How large is the exhibit space?

A: Each vendor will have three feet of table space and three feet of storage under the table. Feel free to bring any racks or displays that can easily be set up next to or behind your table.

Q: Will I have access to WI-FI or electricity?

A: No WI-FI is available in the exhibit space. We recommend using Square or similar software on iPhone or iPad to accept payment. The hotel does have an easy to access ATM for those vendors wishing to accept cash payment. Some vendors will have access to electricity. We will ask to collect requests for electrical access during the registration process once your proposal has been accepted.

Q: Can I bring additional employees/help?

A: Yes! However, if they would like to attend any of the days events they will need to register separately. We advise waiting until after proposals have been accepted to register any additional employees.

Q: I want to attend the event as well as be a vendor. Will there be someone available to watch my table when I am in a session?

A: We want to invite all our women business leaders into the conversation happening in the day’s events. We will have League staff stationed in the exhibit space to monitor tables. However, we will not be providing any assistance to vendors to facilitate transactions in your absence nor are we responsible for any loss or theft.
