ABCs of Family Biking Video!

For many bicyclists becoming a parent can change everything.

Suddenly the direct route from home to work includes stops to get kids to school or daycare. The bike you’ve had for 10 years can’t accomodate your new toddler and the gear you’ve seen on the internet isn’t stocked in any area store. And, maybe most importantly, the streets that before seemed manageable are not an environment that feels safe for your kids.

Kidical Mass DC recognized these challenges and created the ABCs of Family Biking to help parents overcome those hurdles. This weekend, at the annual event, organizer Megan Odett and other area advocates, spoke with Stone Soup Films for a 5-minute video that captures the ingenious event — and the energy and possibility of empowering more families to ride.

With beaming kids and energized parents, it’s the perfect way to cap another successful Bike to School Day and weeklong focus on family biking!
