Bicycling has been the hot topic recently as League Executive Director, Andy Clarke toured the state with the Palmetto Cycling Coalition encouraging mayors, planners, engineers and developers to make bicycling part of a system of complete streets. Not only was the League presented with the keys to the city of Spartanburg (does this mean we can buy every citizen a new bike?), but cycling made the television nightly news in Greenville. And in Columbia 26 new cycling projects were introduced, including the opening of the bicycle-friendly Cooper River Bridge.
