Description: Want to get into cycling, but find yourself confused by your bike's gears, confounded by flat tires, and intimidated by urban traffic? Then take Bike New York's Savvy Cyclist class and get some basic bike skills. Here's what you will learn: -adjusting your bike & helmet for a comfortable fit; -performing a bike safety check to identify mechanical issues; -fixing a flat tire; -locking your bike against NYC bike thieves; -using your gears; -bike handling skills; -cycling in traffic with confidence
