Street Skills (Road 1, part 1)Date: Saturday, July 19, 2008 Description: Street Skills: 4 hour Classroom Session 9am-1pm The basics of safe and enjoyable cycling, including riding in city traffic, necessary equipment, crash avoidance, and legal rights and responsibilities. Bicycle not required. Note this course can be taken alone, but it is also the "Part 1" course for League of American Bicyclists' Bike Ed Road I certification. (Limited to 30 people, minimum of 5) The classes are free and a complimentary Road 1 Student Manual donated by "Bear Bikes" will be provided to each person who registers at least seven days before the class. The available dates for the (optional) six hour “Road 1, part 2" portion of the class will be announced at each of the classroom sessions.
