Confident City Cycling

Date: Mon-Wed, July 7-9, 2008 (5:30-8:30 pm)

Description: Gives cyclists the confidence they need to ride safely and legally in traffic or on the trail. The course covers bicycle safety checks, fixing a flat, on-bike skills and crash avoidance techniques and includes a student manual. Recommended for adults and children above age fourteen, this fast-paced, nine-hour course prepares cyclists for a full understanding of vehicular cycling. No one is either too new of a rider or too experienced to benefit from this course. This class is taught by a League of American Bicyclists certified instructor, in coordination with the City of Columbia nonmotorized transportation pilot program.
